Tim Worstall/Forbes: An interesting little story about how one might increase the productivity of retail services.
Aldi has a reputation that its checkout people scan items some 40% faster than those in other retail stores.
This quite clearly increases the productivity of that labour.
More work being done in less time, that’s an increase in productivity.
